This Policy sets out the rules for publishing content through the publishing features of Relis (the "App"). This Policy is an individual rule under Article 1 of the Terms of Service and forms part of the Terms of Service. Matters not covered by this Policy are governed by the Terms of Service.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to content that you make available for other users to view and import through the App's publishing features (public lists, project packs, and the particles, wiki pages, and other items they contain; "Public Content"). It does not apply to content you keep private.
2. Rights to What You Publish
- You represent and warrant that you own the rights to your Public Content or have permission from the rights holder to publish it.
- You may not publish content that infringes the copyright or other rights of third parties, such as material copied from commercial textbooks, workbooks, or books. This applies even to your own notes if they contain parts copied verbatim from someone else's work.
3. Content You May Not Publish
In addition to Section 2, you may not publish content that:
- Infringes the copyright, trademark, portrait, privacy, reputation, or other rights of any third party
- Violates applicable law or public order and morals, or encourages criminal activity
- Is violent, sexual, discriminatory, or otherwise seriously offensive to other users
- Is primarily intended for advertising, promotion, or solicitation, or constitutes spam, such as publishing the same content in bulk
- Contains information that can identify another person
- Otherwise falls under Article 6 (Prohibited Activities) of the Terms of Service
4. Use by Other Users
- Copyright in Public Content belongs to the user who published it.
- By publishing content, you permit other users, free of charge, to import, copy, and edit that content within the App, and to publish their edited versions within the App.
- Content imported by another user becomes that user's own data. If you later unpublish or change your content, this does not affect copies already imported by others or content others have published based on it.
5. Reports and Actions
- You can report Public Content that you believe violates this Policy from the in-app menu. You can also hide Public Content or publishers you do not want to see from your own view.
- Public Content that receives a certain number of reports is automatically hidden until we review it.
- We review content upon reports or claims from rights holders, and may unpublish Public Content that we determine violates this Policy. If we determine that content infringes someone's rights, we may also unpublish content published based on it.
- Unpublishing stops public distribution; it does not delete copies that users have already imported.
- We may restrict the use of the App, including publishing features, for users who repeatedly violate this Policy, in accordance with Article 8 of the Terms of Service.
- We are not obligated to monitor Public Content at all times. Whether, when, and how we act on reports is at our discretion.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may change this Policy when we deem it necessary. Changes are handled in accordance with Article 11 of the Terms of Service.
